Ukrainian sovereign Eurobonds ended slightly lower last week, while the country’s corporate debt papers continued their bull run, rallying for the fourth week in a row. The most important domestic economic news was the IMF’s return to Kyiv to assess the state of Ukraine’s economy and the possibility of releasing another loan tranche by the end of the year. IMF representatives were meeting with the NBU’s top officials and are expected to work in Kyiv for two weeks. The government hopes to obtain a new loan tranche worth about USD 1.3bn in December; domestic media is reporting that the IMF has outlined five points that Kyiv must meet in order to get further payments.
